GAZA, June 26 (Xinhua) -- The Israeli army on Tuesday escalated attacks on young Palestinians launching flaming kites and balloons from eastern Gaza Strip into Israel.
Local media reports that Israeli army drones carried out four separate airstrikes on flaming kites' launchers and the vehicles they use in carrying kites and balloons to eastern Gaza Strip close to the border with Israel.
Medical sources said that no injuries were reported in the four airstrikes.
Since June 9, the Israeli army has been firing missiles at flaming kites and balloons launchers in eastern Gaza Strip, most of which were indirect and just for warning.
The flaming kites and balloons launched into Israel caused severe damages to the Israeli agricultural crops have been part of popular rallies and protests for the Palestinians since March 30.
Earlier Tuesday, the highest commission for the "Great March of Return" said in a statement that the Palestinians are asked to join massive rallies from Gaza to West Bank on Friday, calling the rallies "one unified blood and joint fate."
According to Gaza Health Ministry, a total of 132 Palestinians have been killed and more than 14,000 injured since March 30, around half of whom were shot by live ammunition, while many are still in critical condition.
