SURABAYA, Indonesia, May 15 (Xinhua) -- A terror suspect was killed in a gunfire exchange with police anti-terror squad in Indonesian city Surabaya's Tandes district on Tuesday afternoon.
"A fire exchange has occurred, claiming one life aged between 39 and 41," East Java Police Headquarters Spokesperson Frans Barung Mangera said.
Further details on the terror suspect would be released after examination by police Disaster Victim Identification unit was done, Frans said.
The gunfire was among a series of anti-terror crackdowns in the aftermath of the attacks which took place on Sunday and Monday in Surabaya.
The bombing events in Surabaya churches and police station on Sunday and Monday respectively had totally claimed 28 lives of civilians and terrorists, Frans said earlier.
The bombings marked a new terror surge in Indonesia as attackers are now operated by whole family, comprised of father, wife and children.
